This salt jar was made at Shiho’s request—and I’m so happy with how the design turned out!

I added a handle so you can easily hold the jar in one hand while pinching salt with the other, making it effortless to season your food as you cook.

I used to think, “I don’t really need a salt jar.” But after using one, I realized how much more joy it brings to my time in the kitchen. I love the soft “clink” of the ceramic lid as it closes, a sound that feels uniquely satisfying. I also love the way it stands on the kitchen counter—it’s one of those little details that simply makes me smile.

This Macadamia color was inspired by the intense sunlight that struck me when I first moved to Texas. It reminds me of dry earth baked beneath the brilliant Texas sun. Look closely, and you’ll notice tiny crystals on the surface, sparkling like little points of light.

Because this glaze was created to express the power and heat of sunlight, I think it pairs especially beautifully with sun-dried sea salt.

*Each piece is handmade, so there may be slight variations in shape and texture.

I hope you enjoy the unique character and gentle irregularities that come with a handmade piece.
